new Exchange APP, also for community builds?

Dear all
As far as I understand, the Exchange Connectivity available for the Jolla C is a "Jolla own build" to get rid of the third party licensing dependency? Why don't we see it then in a community port (e.g. OnePlusX)?
For me and I guess many others the Exchange connectivity is a major requirement to use SailfishOS as a daily driver....
