Switch to RISC-V based SoCs ?

I know this is too early, but do you guys think the RISC-V manufacturers will merge drivers to the kernel? Or will the situation be the same as is with ARM, where manufacturers only provide blobs?

If the former, do you guys think mer/Sailfish would then prefer RISC SoCs ?

Interesting. Do you know other similar, current projects? Do we have real alternatives: MediaTek (Oysters SF?), Qualcomm, Spreadtrum, Marvell, Intel, HiSilicon, Leadcore Technology, Apple Inc., Samsung Electronics, blaah.

No, I don't think there are any SoCs right now. The only thing I could find is this: http://www.lowrisc.org/about/
