Duplicate of new Flashlight shortcut stopps audio playback

The latest update added native flashlight functionality to the OS -which is great since i can remove an app- however i noticed weird behavior.

I put the flashlight on the event screen. In two cases the indicator showing the flashlight is on started blinking and took quite a few seconds for the flashlight to work. Other times it worked fine.

Anyone seen this behavior?

I can confirm the above behaviour on Jolla 1 but Jolla C behaved as expected.

Both phones with Sailfish OS Aurajoki (

Yep. Forgot to mention. I am on J1.

Same thing happens on my J1, too. I just timed it and it took 23 seconds before the light lit up! After that it works just fine.

On Jolla C it works ok but on Jolla 1 takes ages to turn on flashlight

I too face the same problrm. Initially i thought it's due to applied powermenu patch. Now from this thread i got information that flash light has some issue.

Yes, anyone on the early adopters programme has noticed this a long time ago.

Use the !!enable_switch option instead.
