The 2.0.2.51 release-notes talks about mozilla location services being used for positioning assistance, but the Location settings still only show the option for HERE services, and so is the 'agreement'. Can a sailor explain what the situation actually is?

Also, and this is an app request, will it be possible to have a native Stumbler for Sailfish ? Or, if not a full app, is there any way we can start and stop the service from terminal, or is that only for android?

Oh shoot, missed it when I was searching for this post; but turns out I'd already up-voted that request long back :D

Hi @kat6, the Mozilla Location Services are currently only enabled for default on platforms which don't have HERE (i.e., currently JollaC devices), except the tablet which doesn't have a GPS.

You may be able to install it by doing (requires developer mode):

 devel-su pkcon install geoclue-provider-mlsdb geoclue-provider-mlsdb-agreements

You should also install data files for it. For India, you can do:

 devel-su pkon install geoclue-provider-mlsdb-data-in

For Finland, do:

 devel-su pkon install geoclue-provider-mlsdb-data-fi

And for Australia, do:

 devel-su pkon install geoclue-provider-mlsdb-data-au

We may enable it by default on other devices if enough people request it.
