Hello,

I've noticed that Internet Sharing is not working on my Jolla 1 as expected after updating SFOS to 2.0.2.51. Whenever the Internet Sharing icon (both in Top Menu and in Settings) is tapped, a "Connection problem" (Problema di connessione in Italian locale) message appears and connection sharing doesn't work.

To make it work, I have to first tap the Mobile Internet icon, then the Internet sharing icon. This works most of the times, but it's a workaround.

Operator is Vodafone 4G (Italy) and yes, I've tried rebooting. Plus, this very SIM allows tethering when used in other phones.

I'd really appreciate your help in debugging this issue...

No issue here on Jolla C. I haven't tested on Jolla yet.

I am currently using it on J1, no problem. 4G connection, H3G operator (Italy).

I am also using a J1 with SFOS 2.0.2.51 and have no issues with internet sharing on linux or windows Does it work with a 3G connection? Maybe it is related to the 4G problem on Aurajoki https://together.jolla.com/question/144696/cannot-receive-nor-make-calls-in-4g-on-aurajoki/

@klayff It doesn't wok no matter the network. I've also ruled out SIM/operator issues, since the same SIM allows tethering when used in another phone (Android).

No problem here with J1 on SFOS 2.0.2.51 with 4G connection (HoT/Austria). Did you try to use your Jolla as wlan client of your Android phone with working tethering? Maybe there is an issue with your wlan hardware/settings?

Ok, now I understand. The "connection problem" arises when the mobile data connection is off and you try to activate Internet sharing. This can be considered correct behaviour IMO since of course it cannot connect if the connection to be shared is inactive.

You might be right, but that would imply that the 2.0.2.51 update changed this behaviour, and that should have been documented in the changelog.
