After pressing send, my Jolla 1 phone just prompts for selecting the phone number to use for sending. And does nothing after choosing one. In case there is only one phone number store for the recipient, press send does nothing at all.

Digging into journalclt uncovers this error, which I guess is related to the refusal of sending:

Sailfish dbus[461]: [system] Rejected send message, 5 matched rules; type="method_return", sender=":1.11" (uid=0 pid=750 comm="/usr/sbin/ofonod -n --nobacktrace --noplugin=he910") interface="(unset)" member="(unset)" error name="(unset)" requested_reply="0" destination=":1.13" (uid=0 pid=771 comm="/usr/bin/fastdormancyd ")

But due to my lack in experience I don't have a clue how to take this error and overcome this problem.

May somebody can help in this matter.

Maybe you turned on option "tap and hold to send" You can turn it off in Settings -> Applications -> Messages or just try to tap and hold send button.

Solved! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh ....

Thanks a million. You must be a clairvoyant (at least in one of your former lifes). Maybe I turned it on unintentionally and forgot about it. I was already blaming my telco provider aside from googling like a crazy chicken. I hope my stupidity helps somebody running into the same situation.

If I remember correctly, Jolla set this option as default in SailfishOS 2.0.2
