Voice over IP android/sailfish reliability
Most if not all android apps work poorly over VOIP with sailfish on DATA connection. Apps freeze, crash, restart, calls cannot be hung up afterwards, or app crashes upon call completion.
There is no native VOIP sailfish app, so you have to use apps like Talkatone, Line, Whatsapp, Spikko etc.
Root cause is likely Aliendalvic poor implementation or buggyness- non-seemless Android to Sailfish integration.
Main problem areas contacts cant be added in Android only in sailfish, sometimes the speaker or microphone cannot be accessed by Android, the connection frequently interrupts. When sailfish contact is added requires phone restart to show contact in android contact list.
I am actually very shocked that nobody has brought up these issues yet. At this point i thought everyone is using VOIP on their mobile phones. Its illogical to pay carriwrs for their voice connection ontop the data connection, its all the same.
Did you try this?

I am trying to use Talkatone with theor opus codec and have it worl more reliably with sailfish, it kinda works but its a bit buggy, so i think more needs to be done on speaker, microphone and codec iintegration when it comes to VOIP, its not like thats new technology.
