I am getting the following error when trying to create the backup:

[UI] Preparing to backup files to /media/sdcard/02acca7a-3b1f-41d4-99b5-e05be52fc9ca/sailfish_backup_2016-09-15T01-29-08Z.tar Preparing to backup units: Accounts, Browser, Calendar, Gallery, Media, Messages, Notes, People, Phone to /media/sdcard/02acca7a-3b1f-41d4-99b5-e05be52fc9ca/sailfish_backup_2016-09-15T01-29-08Z.tar Running unit script Accounts (1 of 9) Start: /usr/libexec/jolla-vault/units/vault-accounts--action export --name Accounts --bin-dir /tmp/vault/vault/Accounts/blobs --dir /tmp/vault/vault/Accounts/data --home-dir /home/nemo [UI] Reading data Done: vault-accounts [OK] Running unit script Browser (2 of 9) Start: /usr/libexec/jolla-vault/units/vault-browser--action export --name Browser --bin-dir /tmp/vault/vault/Browser/blobs --dir /tmp/vault/vault/Browser/data --home-dir /home/nemo [UI] Reading data Done: vault-browser [OK] Running unit script Calendar (3 of 9) Start: /usr/libexec/jolla-vault/units/vault-calendar--action export --name Calendar --bin-dir /tmp/vault/vault/Calendar/blobs --dir /tmp/vault/vault/Calendar/data --home-dir /home/nemo [UI] Reading data Done: vault-calendar [FAILED] Exit code: 1 [ERROR] 3 Process exited with non-zero exit code or status, quitting.

Any idea on a manual fix?

Hello.

I have exactly the same on Jolla, SFOS 2.0.2.51 when I try to backup.

...
Start: /usr/libexec/jolla-vault/units/vault-calendar--action export --name Calendar --bin-dir /tmp/vault/vault/Calendar/blobs --dir /tmp/vault/vault/Calendar/data --home-dir /home/nemo
[UI] Reading data
Done: vault-calendar [FAILED] Exit code: 1
[ERROR] 3 Process exited with non-zero exit code or status, quitting.

If I run manually,

[root@Sailfish tmp]# /usr/libexec/jolla-vault/units/vault-calendar --action export --name Calendar --bin-dir /tmp/vault/vault/Calendar/blobs --dir /tmp/vault/vault/Calendar/data --home-dir /home/nemo--action export --name Calendar --bin-dir /tmp/vault/vault/Calendar/blobs --dir /tmp/vault/vault/Calendar/data --home-dir /home/nemo
[D] unknown:0 - QMap(("args", QVariant(QStringList, ("export", "/tmp/vault/vault/Calendar/data/all.ics") ) ) ( "cmd" , QVariant(QString, "icalconverter") ) ( "info" , QVariant(QString, ""UnknownError" 0 ") ) ( "msg" , QVariant(QString, "Process error") ) ( "pwd" , QVariant(QString, "") ) ( "rc" , QVariant(int, 1) ) ( "stderr" , QVariant(QByteArray, "") ) ( "stdout" , QVariant(QByteArray, "") ) )

Could you suggest anything to fix it?

I don't think there is a fix for that other than using the newer SFOS 2.0.2.51 official release. Espoonjoki was only intended for Turing Phones and has a couple bugs and is outdated. I had same or similar problem when I tried to do a backup on 2.0.3.14.

I suggest you test SFOS 2.0.2.51 where it should work again. If not, please report :)

[EDIT]: See @stefan.iljic solution above, who had the same problem with SFOS 2.0.2.51.

"Had to work around it by deleting Calendars app and /home/nemo/.local/share/system/privileged/Calendar/".

If it appears with later versions as well please re-open question...

thanks caprico, i will wait until touring inc. tests the new SFOS and releases the update to the phone, its not super urgent, i assume your backup amd restore works fine in 2.0.2.51?

Yes backup works on 2.0.2.51 :) I went back from 2.0.3.14 to 2.0.2.51 using Settings/Sailfish OS updates and it worked. Not sure though how save that is, especially when you can't do an backup. Otherwise you can jump back on official releases once Jolla publishes a version higher than the current Turing one.

caprico there is a solution even for sailfish 2.0.3.14 see stefan.iljic comment above. 1. delete calendars app 2. delete calendars data stored in .../privileged/Calendar by using devel- su, cd go to folder and rm -r everything in folder, restart device reinstall calendar and everything backs up!

@DarkTuring: Thank you! Good to hear there's a solution. If possible @stefan.iljic should change his comment into an answer. I didn't know you were actually using a TuringPhone (lucky you!!) + that it appears on 2.0.2.51 as well. I change my answer and remove the green button :)

[From a comment] I had exactly the same on Jolla Phone, SFOS 2.0.2.51 when I try to backup.

Clearing /home/nemo/.vault/ didn't help.

Had to work around it by deleting Calendars app and /home/nemo/.local/share/system/privileged/Calendar/ directory.
