Adding contacts in Android Apps crashes apps.
Every Android app i have used crashes when trying to modify or add contacts.
- feature request interim, have alien dalvik launch people app to edit contact or add when selecting add/edit contact in Android app which would prevent crashing of the Android app, but without taking you to the specific contact desired,
- fully integrate Android add, edit contact function into alien dalvik, lets you do it from the native Android interface based on app wrapper design,
Most important function in a phone i believe is: 1. contact, message, call, address location, website-
Here is my reddit support post with additional detail:
please add more exclamation marks to message, also to title. wait a little, then sell your phone to some other user, buy android phone and be happy.

DarkTuring ( 2016-09-19 21:04:54 +0200 )editthen why you want to use android apps so hard? aliendalvik is not standart android, it's very limited parts.
coderus ( 2016-09-19 21:19:48 +0200 )editFor me personally its for convenience as i transition my life from Android to Sailfish. First that takes time, and second sailfish doesnt always have a satisfying alternative to an android app. For example Yelp is a fantastic catalogue of businesses and business reviews but doesnt have a Sailfish client, so when i want to add the business to my contacts, or map directions to the business it crashes. I have to copy paste each field instead which is doable but not the mobile experience that i want.
For others i would say it loweres the barrier of entry and switching making it far more compelling to get Sailfish in the first place.
DarkTuring ( 2016-09-19 21:30:48 +0200 )editthis is not android, this is different os with limited android support, and you want to make it android with limited sailfish support. no.
coderus ( 2016-09-19 21:32:10 +0200 )editSo if i understand you correctly youd rather push all the lacking functionality into the Sailfish browser instead of Android apps? With that you kinda get an operating system that was once called Firefox and which miserably failed, arguably by a company and community that knew broswers and html5 coding better than anybody in the world. Well it would be sad to try to rely on the Sailfish browser that heavily, i find the chrome Android app browser on sailfish more capable and stable for one.
