I'm wondering if you are happy with how the haptic feedback behaves when using a keyboard.

I feel quite an annoying lag when typing. It's not always the same. I simply don't like the fact that the vibration comes upon release. I wish it would come the very moment I hit the key to confirm that I actually hit the key. Also, the force of the vibration varies pretty much. Too much for me. Sometimes you can feel it very well, the other time you can barely feel it. And then it sometimes doesn't vibrate at all, which happens when I'm typing fast. Also, when you hold the key, it should keep vibrating until you release the key and not just write and vibrate when you release the key.

N9 had quite nice feedback on vibration and it was also a bit disappointing to find out Jolla did not have as good feedback. Let's hope the updates can fix this issue soon.

Agree, the feel and feedback and even the size of keys and keboard was better in N9. Now.I keep making incredible amount of typos with Jolla kbd. Either fine-tune this or provide us with the TOH-qwerty kbd, thanks.

I haven't used the N9 so I can't compare, but the feedback on Jolla I didn't find useful, sound feedback was too slow and I got tired of vibration too, so disabled both.

I agree only with the middle section of yr question, so I'm not upvoting it

Jolla seem to be using qtfeedback in which to tweak things it's all down to software and timing.

Feel free to play around with it and see what suites you best, then you could propose what would be the best settings to go for.

There should be.a GUI for these tweaks in Settings > Keyboard.

Is this a suggestion or statement? I didn't find it, otherwise I would not have opened this topic.

@Anna my comment is a wish/suggestion that the Haptics should be tweakable in the Settings GUI.. so it's not there currently..

mariusmssj, what you said is pointing to where the problem lies, but not a suggestion for a solution

The answer should explain how do we play around with QtFeedback...
