Unable to activate XMPP account in SailfishOS 2.0
Hi there, today i was able to test a new SailfishOS port for the Oneplus One. Sadly, i am unable to get my Jabber account activated.
I tried many things like with server adress, without, with insecure ssl and without the option. Sailfish don't really gives feedback about the state, there was nowhere a note, just the active account but nothing in the SMS app for example.
with mc-tool
is was able to find out that my account has some kinda restriction:
Restrictions: Cannot_Set_Service
The full dump after trying to solve it with `mc-tool' looks like this:
Account: gabble/jabber/jabber_11 Display Name: technics Enabled: enabled Icon: image://theme/graphic-service-xmpp Connects: automatically Service: jabber Presences: Automatic: available (2) "" Current: offline (1) "" Requested: available (2) "" Changing: yes Storage: Provider: im.telepathy.Account.Storage.UOA Identifier: uint32 11 Restrictions: Cannot_Set_Service (string) password = secret (uint) port = 5222 (string) resource = Jolla (string) account = technics (bool) ignore-ssl-errors = true
The current, regular settings after re-adding it via gui looks like this:
Account: gabble/jabber/jabber_12 Display Name: technics@mydomain.de Enabled: enabled Icon: image://theme/graphic-service-xmpp Connects: automatically Service: jabber Presences: Automatic: available (2) "" Current: offline (1) "" Requested: available (2) "" Changing: yes Storage: Provider: im.telepathy.Account.Storage.UOA Identifier: uint32 12 Restrictions: Cannot_Set_Service (uint) port = 5222 (string) resource = Jolla (string) account = technics@mydomain.de (bool) ignore-ssl-errors = true
Well, it surely worked a few month agon before i had to switch to android again because the port was discontinued. Now it won't and i really don't know why. Maybe someone can help me with this, would be awesome because it would be veryvery sad to go back to android again just because no jabbersolution (even not this basic one) is available on SailfishOS.
kind Regards
I wonder why there's an upvote if it turned out that the problem doesn't exist and Technics only used a wrong password... Are there ppl here who upvote "just in case"?
