A shortcut to change the bluetooth keyboard layout?

I know Björnträsket introduced changing the layout of the bluetooth keyboard via Settings > System > Text input > Active layout, but switching to the Settings app every time I wish to type a few words in another language seems quite tiresome. On the other hand, none of the usual shortcuts (Ctrl+Shift, Alt+Shift, or both Shift keys) affect the layout for me. I think, enabling them would not be amiss.
By the way, my bluetooth keyboard (Oklick 840S) has a key left of its spacebar, marked with a globe sign, but it just acts as one more spacebar.
