Hi,

----------------- LAST UPDATE -----------------------------------

At home, even without SIM, phone does not connect by Wifi. Has changed channel in router to 6, 7 and 9 and none of those have been succesful. I have 4 other phones and computers connected without any problems.

I'm starting a procedure to return this phone to the seller as I think it's got a bug in Wifi. A hardware one, I presume.

In any case, if anyone thinks I need to test something else, don't hesitate to talk.

Regards,

------------------ UPDATE 30/09/2016 --------------------------

After lots of testings, I found the problem. When SIM is inserted, Wifi stops working and it's impossible to connect. As this should be known by other users, I consider it's a bug in the phone. Will try with another SIM (girlfriend) and if the same error arises, I'll return it.

if anyone knows a solution for that, please, don't hesitate to contact me ;)

I have just bought an Intex Aqua Fish and I can't connect my wifi. I enabled developer mode and connected via USB and found this on dmesg when activating wifi and trying to scan networks:

[ +7.899025] IPv6: ADDRCONF(NETDEV_UP): wlan0: link is not ready
[ +3.514294] wcd-spmi-core msm8x16_wcd_codec-f4bcaa00: Failed to get mbhc impedance -22
[ +1.202787] wcd_imped_config, invalid imped, greater than 48 Ohm
               = 48

when using iw I can see this:

[nemo@Sailfish ~]$ iw dev
phy#1
    Interface p2p0
        ifindex 24
        wdev 0x100000002
        addr 96:fd:2e:03:02:b6
        type managed
    Interface wlan0
        ifindex 23
        wdev 0x100000001
        addr 94:fd:2e:03:02:b6
        type managed

and finally

[nemo@Sailfish ~]$ devel-su iw dev wlan0 scan
Password:
command failed: Invalid argument (-22)
[nemo@Sailfish ~]$ iw dev wlan0 link
Not connected.
[nemo@Sailfish ~]$ devel-su iw dev wlan0 connect <essid>
Password:
</essid>

I get this output:

[ +5.407423] [21:21:36.396757] [0000003C1BCDC151] [iw] wlan: [E :HDD] wlan_hdd_get_frame_logs: Frame Logging not init!

Can someone point me a solution to connect wifi? Don't really know why wifi does not work.... :(

Further information:

I'm currently using SailfishOS 2.0.2.51 with Device adaptation 0.0.1.35

Has anyone an idea on how to solve this?

Hi,

The encryption is wpa2 with passphrase. the problem is that even if I shutdown wifi and reactivate it again, there's no list of available essids shown. When I reboot, I can see a list and when trying to connect it keeps on connecting and does not connect...

I can see in dmesg:

wlan: [E :SME] scrApplyChannelPowerCountryInfo: 3580: 11D channel list is empty
IPC_RTR: msm_ipc_router_send_to: permission failure for spmd
IPC_RTR: sms_ipc_router_sendmsg: Send_to failure -1

and so on...

OK, reverted to factory defaults and Wifi is working! The problem is when updating to SailfishOS 2.0.2.51 and DA 0.0.1.35.

Has anyone met this problem? How can I file a bug in SailfishOS so I can help developers to solve this problem?

Best,

ok, no...

I have done a reset to factory defaults and everything went ok, but after rebooting, Wifi is not connecting anymore. So, it's not something about the SailfishOS version and Device adaptation.... but something that blocks Wifi after rebooting.

I'm really lost...

Has someone an idea?

best.
