I want to buy a Jolla C. There is one I'm looking at but the photos I've been sent don't look right for a Jolla C. All the photos I've seen of the Jolla C show a red wall paper with the Sailfish logo, whereas the photos I've been sent show the blue/green background normally seen on pictures of the original Jolla. There are no pictures of the back of the phone.

Also I've been told it has a 4.5 inch screen though this may be an oversight.

However in light of the wallpaper colour and the wrong screen size info I'm suspicious the phone I'm looking at is in fact an original Jolla.

I have questioned the seller and they were emphatic that it is a Jolla C

Can anyone tell me if it's possible to change the wallpaper on the Jolla C to be the same as the original Jolla phone?

Also can anyone give me information on the packaging differences for each phone? The photos I have been sent show a white outer wrapper with a black Jolla logo. The outer wrapping looks to have a red inner lining.

Thanks for any help you can give

The wallpaper can be changed. On Sailfish, the wallpaper is referred to as 'ambience'. Change the ambience and the associated wallpaper is displayed, basically ambience is a theme package.

Why not post a link of the device in question?, or post the images you were given? (you can post images by using the Answer Box).

Here's the specs of the Jolla C; https://jolla.com/jollac/ and here's a video of the Jolla C being unboxed; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EZF_WDkCQ8Y

I didn't notice the attachment option when I posted originally. Here's a picture;

Looks like a Jolla C to me, especially by looking at my Jolla1 with it's front camera lens on the left, where as the image you show, has the camera lens on the right. I believe this is a Jolla C from what I can see so far.

Yes, I agree. I looked at the unboxing video you linked of the Jolla C and I noticed that the camera was different when he compared it to the Jolla. I was in the process of verifying this when your reply arrived. I'm happy it is a Jolla C. The ambience colour and the stated 4.5 inch screen size threw me.

Thanks for your help. :)

And you can see the protective screen cover that has to stay on...

Why does the protective screen need to stay on?

There is no logical rhyme or reason that ANY protective screen cover 'has' to stay on. It probably 'has' to stay on to protect it as no one officially makes (maybe they do now) screen protectors for Jolla C/Intex Aqua Fish ~ just a guess.
