Hi,

I was wondering why android apps cant access sim, the main issue is that with the launch of Jio 4G service here in India, i was unable to use use Jio4GVoice app which allow non volte phones to make calls, unfortunately Sailfish os doesn't support volte and Jio4GVoice says that to inset sim.

so please give us a solution...

thank you

I don't understand that what maker of sailfish OS think about customer who using sailfish.. The maker of Sailfish OS forget to enable the basis of Smart Phone feature. Also I don't understand how they compare SAILFISH OS to ANDROID and IOS, the truth is the SAILFISH OS is NOTHING against ANDROID and IOS but the this is also truth that FAKE and LIE is in the blood of SAILFISH peoples they can't do their job for customer wants

It's your provider problem if it making only Android version of application and not SailfishOS. SailfishOS including Alien Dalvik - limited Android runtime. It's not Android OS and it will never support all Android features.

By going through your answer i can guess two things- 1. You are not aware about jio4gvoice. It is app to enable older device without VOLTE support. It is not thier problem if a newer OS like sailfish can afford absence of these feature and limit user choice for carrier. 2. You consider Sailfish OS comparable with android and iOS in terms of market share.

So as per now its our responsiblity not to lack certain feature which have become very basic in terms of telephony. Dont ecpect carrier do things for us.

check 2.0.4.13, it have some updates for your jio networks. But if some service depends on android application - just go and buy android phone, dont waste your time using SalifishOS

volte is nothing to do with android. Application is just alternative to Volte client which use IMS/ SIP underneath.. I guess ...So no need to buy andoid phone if we get VoLte support in sailfish updates. or somene can provide VOLTE native client.
