SD-card not detected once again... [answered]

When I first bought my Jolla 1 I had the same issue: I can't access sd card because the phone won't recognize that a card is present. At least that is what I assume the problem is. I can't get any of my cards listed with any fdisk, df, lsblk commands. I'm afraid this is a hardware problem since dmesg gives me "[ 2.367587] mmc1: Slot eject status = 0" no matter if a card is present or not. So could it be a contact issue with the physical card slot (the spring that gets bent when you push the card in)?
The funny thing is that I had it working for many months, but for about a month now it's been a problem again. Could there be some kind of controversy with files associated with previous mounts? For example I found a file /dev/disk/by-uuid/00BC-614E which I think (but am not 100% sure) is the same as my previous card uuid. Should there be that kind of file present even when there's not an sd card present?
