Currently Sailfish does not provide whole drive encryption, of the internal storage, technology or support. Is there a time table to, by default, support encryption of the operating system and all files that move around the storage system including memory? That would include the Android portion of the system.

Is there a plan to provide backup encryption onto external sd card or into the cloud, both vulnerable storage solutions for hacks and attack?

i dont feel like the issue is addressed in the other posts and would like to reopen the topic, other links refer to encryption of mounted external volumes SD cards, while i am thinking encryption of backups onto SD card is much more crytical and actual device internal storage encryption including logs, history, file/folder structure/, etc any critical information.
