After update to 2.0.4.13 all was good. Then i reapplyed the patchesimage description. Now it seems to be that the background picture is overlaying the luncher. Any idea how to unapply the patches by using ssh connection or editing some conf files?

EDIT: Iḿ back in bussines! Thanks a lot @coderus!

The patch who causing the overlaying was "sailfishos-combined-pulley-menu"

as devel-su do:

patchmanager -u name_of_patch

name_of_patch can be taken from /var/lib/patchmanager/ausmt/patches

Please keep posts about patches or third party applications on sites like talk.maemo.org.

Jolla has nothing to do with third party stuff and there's a thread dedicated to patches on TMO, it really doesn't need to be on both sites and all posts about third party apps or patches here hide the actually important posts about bugs in Sailfish.

I'm really surprised that my patch causes this issue because combined pulley menu patch doesn't patch anything in the lipstick-jolla-home-qt5 (which is your homescreen) and I haven't such feedback before. I think you have unique combination of patches or one of random homescreen bugs. Anyway, I'm glad you're in the business again.

I have similar issue. Bunch of patches is installed including yours and some from coderus.

I have no patches installed and have a similar issue with "GP Results" from Pieczar (look jolla store). Using this application I get overlays.

The manual on disabling patches for the unlucky guys like me who has developer mode disabled. Works for Jolla 1

  1. Put you Jolla into Recovery mode (turn it on with Volume down + Power button).
  2. Connect your Jolla to PC via USB.
  3. Run terminal on PC, connect to your Jolla with

    telnet 10.42.66.66

  4. Choose 4 (Shell).

  5. Run:

    mount /dev/mmcblk0p28 /mnt

    chroot /mnt

    patchmanager -u patchname

  6. Exit to Recovery mode (run Exit).

  7. Choose 2 (Reboot).

The patch specified at step 5 should be removed now.

@Anceland, here are my set of patches with caused nearly bricked Jolla (I couldn't even answer the calls) unless I removed you patch:

Maybe we should test it by disabling all patches but yours?
