When I try to look at: Warehouse > My profile > View full list it just freezes and the options of waiting or closing the app keep coming up and it never unfreezes. This happens a lot when I try to install apps too. Is there something I am doing wrong?

When you select to view the 'full list' it is being populated with upwards of 1000 installed packages (everything installed on the device), so yeah, it gets a bit stuck at times. The last count on my device, was 907 packages.

You can check out what's installed (globally) with this command;

$ pkcon --filter installed get-packages | sed "s/.*deinstall//" | sed "s/install$//g" > ~/pkglist

This spits out a text file called pkglist - I use nano as my editor, so nano pkglist to read contents.

No, the warehouse app has some issues with the OOM killer. Just click 'wait', eventually the app will be installed or the list will appear.

Yes, that is what I usually did; but now, it never comes out of it. I've waited 15 minutes before finally killing it. The last things I installed were nmap & subversion. Even that time, I had to kill it; it wouldn't come out on its own. But nmap works fine.

It can take way longer than 15 minutes once you have a few repos added. I don't even attempt to update warehouse apps unless I have an hour to do it (not that you can't use the phone while it's happening - but you wouldn't want to use it intensively).

Yes, it's a bug, yes, the author knows about it, and yes, it will probably finish eventually.

There is a way to avoid this in most cases... Once the package manager starts working, just leave parts of the apps showing the progress, i.e., click on "install" or "upgrade" and immediately go back to the app list and wait a few seconds, it should work fastly and smoothly. Same goes for "Check for updates". Start the checking and go back instantly. However, I couldn't find a workaround for the list of installed apps yet...
