Ahoy sailors, here in this post I will be telling you how to update to the latest update 2.0.4.13 since it's not yet available even in early access. Note that this method could be used to go to any desired OS version. Make sure you have at least 50% battery before beginning or plug in the charger. Let's Begin!
- Enable WLAN and connect to a working internet connection
- Enable Developer Mode
- Enable remote connection access in Developer Mode settings
- Set a password (anything you want and remember it)
- Open Terminal app via app drawer
- Write the following commands:-
Command: devel-su
You will be asked for a password Enter the password from step 3
Command: (your password)
The $ sign will change to # to signify root access granted
Command: ssu re 2.0.4.13
You will get a message: Your device is now in release mode!
Command: version --dup
The update process will now begin. The current progress %age will be shown in each new line. You can track it there. After the process is complete, you will get a message: REBOOT NOW
type dsmetool -b
in the terminal window and you are good to go. All done!
what is the difference between command line update & general update?...

ossi1967 ( 2016-10-13 13:38:58 +0200 )edit@A.K1 you might brick your phone and as said before, you can keep the pieces... CLI has no or at least not as much safe-guarding. So better make sure you know what you are doing, especially why you are doing it this way!
