This I have also seen. Especially if a video is longer than 1 Minute, while trying to save it usually crashes the cam. The video then is also lost.
PatsJolla ( 2016-10-18 10:24:00 +0300 )editdon't think i ever lost any video but anyway should be solved since latest release behaved correctly...
247 ( 2016-10-18 10:41:14 +0300 )editCannot confirm. I shot a 10 minute video and it saved without a hitch. (SFOS 2.0.4.13 Jolla1)
If it were me, I'd have a go at removing the application and installing it again.
@247 - Are your images/recording being saved to /home/nemo/* or sdcard?
I have also just tested shooting and saving a 5 minute video directly to sdcard without any problems.
Spam Hunter ( 2016-10-18 13:49:24 +0300 )editI cannot even open the camera app on J1. I just get the dialog to close or wait over and over again. May this be related to moving all pictures to ext4 formatted SD card and setting camera to store on SD card? The weird part: Taking pictures in Android apps is working, so it's not an hardware issue.
mdosch ( 2016-10-18 14:08:20 +0300 )editIn many cases, problems with jolla-camera and other jolla apps, are often resolved by removing and installing the application again. Of course, these apps cannot be removed directly from the launcher, so the job is done in terminal.
Spam Hunter ( 2016-10-18 14:13:56 +0300 )editpkcon remove jolla-camera
<---this also removesjolla-camera-settings
, so when you try to reinstalljolla-camera
it requiresjolla-camera-settings
to be installed first, then the jolla-camera app will install automagically.
