I've an issue installing the latest version of Here WeGo. This has potentially been identified as a signature issue as per this thread:

https://together.jolla.com/question/148900/here-wego-update-2010806-doesnt-install-on-jolla-1/

What methods of signing Android applications does Aliendalvik support and what can it support in the future? Can Jolla work with Myriad to install a version which supports SHA-256?

Apologies if I'm using the incorrect description/terminology, I'm not a developer and have limited knowledge of what I'm asking!

your question is about used Aliendalvik android compatibility layer, not about Jolla/SailfishOS itself.

Thanks, I've slightly edited the question and added a tag. Is this more appropriate?

replace Jolla with Aliendalvik. Jolla is not maintaining android support. developer of Aliendalvik is Myriad Group.

I have had an issue installing it at first but got it to work the following way:

  1. Recommendation is uninstall Here Wego, restart phone,
  2. Utilities select rebuild app registry, restart phone after say 5min,
  3. Install Here WeGo from Jolla store, after install complete dont open the apk, but restart phone,
  4. Now open the app and apk, if it crashes, close app restart, reopen, if that doesnt work restart phone then restart app,

Anyways i did that back and forth until it worked and i saw the icon and now that it loads its a little faster and more robust then the old app.

I use sailfish 2.0.3.14

Hi, can you put you answer on the Here WeGo thread please as this isnt an answer to this question!

Include versions so everyone can be certain of whats been achieved,

Unfortunately, Here WeGo isn't available in Jolla store on my Jolla 1. The issue first appeared with Here update 2.0.10806, all previous versions worked fine. Is that the same version as in Jolla store?

I suspect your issue had been caused by something different, because I cannot imagine how rebuilding app registry could solve certificate incompatibility problems...

I agree with @ziellos
