[Bug] WiFi issue causes Jolla C / Aqua Fish to disconnect regulary [answered]
Picking up the issue from this thread: https://together.jolla.com/question/144086/jolla-c-has-strange-behavior-with-wlan-and-mobile-data-connection/
The Jolla C and Aqua Fish seem to have issues with the WiFi which causes them to get disconnected from it in regular intervals (for me every 10 minutes). This also causes the device to wake up and power on the screen. It can be observed in the system log by the following entry:
[VosMC] wlan: [E :PE ] limProcessDeauthFrame: 144: Received Deauth frame for Addr: (AP MAC) (mlm state = eLIM_MLM_LINK_ESTABLISHED_STATE, sme state = 12 systemrole = 3) with reason code 2 from (AP MAC)
where (AP MAC) is the MAC address of the Access Point.
According to the IEEE802.11 standard, the meaning of reason code 2 is "Previous authentication no longer valid". As the workaround mentioned in the TJC thread linked above states that increasing the value for the Group Key Renewal Interval on the Access Point also increases the time between the disconnects, and both have the same duration, it looks like the reason for this behavior (device gets disconnected from WiFi) could be caused by the Jolla not handling the WiFis Group Key Renewal correctly and gets kicked out of the WiFi by the AP as a result.
I'm hoping that this entry has enough information to start the identification of the root cause and that you will support it, so the issue can be fixed.
Thank you already.
