Hi there,

my Jolla phone crashed. Today I wanted to update my phone. I pressed the prepare button and switcht to WhatsApp. Than the Screen got black, and the red led was on. I thought the phone shouted down and starts again (that's happens like every week) but after the "jolla" sign the white led shined and that was it. The Phone do not start! I tried to reset it with Putty but there is an error that there are files who aren't possible to delete.

So is there an option to hard reset the phone, by pressing the keys? I did this with my old Windows Phone but I didn't found an tutorial for jolla.

Thanks

Well you can still try to connect your phone in recovery mode and do a hard reset from there. If wanted I can try to guide you through the steps regarding driver installation on windows etc. Maybe it is even possible to invoke a hard reset from the commandline on putty SSH?

@maxeck6 hello and welcome to tjc, please note that the how-to tag is only to be used if you give step-by-step instruction, not if you ask for help. ill remove the tag :)

Oh, I think I found my mistake. I didn't copy the "recovery-menu" on my sd Card...I will try it again.

Thank's for the really fast answer!

When you say "with putty", do you mean you followed these instructions?

That's how you get a hard hard reset. Read the whole article before you start.
