Simplify vibrate options, add vibrate on/off to Ambiance settings
At the moment Vibrate has several options in sounds and feedback settings:
- Always
- Only when slient
- Only when sounds on
- Never
Meanwhile in ambience settings you can set ringtone volume but not the vibrate setting.
My suggestion is, change the vibrate options to a simple on/off, but make it settable via ambience settings. That way the interface is simplified but you'd also be able to do things like have a separate "vibrate" (silent, vibrate on) and true "silent" (silent, vibrate off) mode.
Someone will say they like being able to set vibrate by turning the volume down to zero and turning it back up again when they want sound, and they don't want to lose that feature. And certainly you could keep all the current vibrate options and add the vibrate setting to the ambience settings.
I just suggest it this particular way because I think it's also good to remove complexity where possible rather than just add more all the time. For the sake of the users and for the codebase.
Good idea!
Ambiences settings could be extened in many other ways as well. For instance ambience could include setting such as GPS on/off, Wifi/3G/4G/flight mode, ....
The idea of ambiences is good, but now the implementation does not show the full potential of them.

Although most settings would need to be optional so you didn't have to set a million things any time you created a new Ambiance. Maybe have a "default" ambience that unchanged settings automatically inherit from.

I'd like that, too. And you currently have the ability to choose the options to change by the ambience. You have to add the option to adjust the ringtone. That's how it is and how it should be with the extended options.
