Turing Phone camera aspect ratios

By default the Turing phone uses an aspect ratio for pictures of 4:3, instead of full screen 16:9. Aspect Ratio 4:3 has a resolution of 13 MP. But making full screen 16:9 pictures reduces this to 2 MPix. Where does this significant reduction come from?

@pasik

i cant say for sure, but the camera sensor uses 4:3 for its 13 MP. the option for 16:9 matches the screen resolution of 1080p (2 MP). so one option makes full use of the sensor - the other one uses the screen resolution...

2MP is for front camera. Main camera should have bigger resolution, not sure exact size, i have jolla c.

Turing Phone rear camera 4:3 = 13MPX, 16:9 = 2MPX. Front camera 4:3 = 8MPX, 16:9 = 2MPX.

Have you checked if the actual generated images are 2 MPX, by the way? I recall seeing a typo in the Finnish Turing phone camera settings translations
