I do not receive SMS/text message delivery reports when I choose to have them. Carrier is t-mobile Germany. Any hints?

I was used to receiving message delivery confirmation messages that would bubble and sound an audible when sending completion message is received. I would like this feature in Jolla as well

This may not be a relevant comment in this case (I have no knowledge of how T-Mobile Germany handles things) but, to my knowledge, not all mobile operators send 2nd notifications i.e. message delivery confirmations.

This is typically more common while roaming.

These missing 2nd notifications are also the reason why sometimes (while travelling) you receive the same SMS several times over the course of a couple of days - the sending SMS center does not know the message has already been received so it keeps resending until the message expires.

Zandi is right, Sailfish shows a text "Delivered" next to the message's timestamp (and, if you pay close attention, the timestamp updates from the "sent" time to the "delivered" time).

The German translation "Versendet" is a bit unfortunate ("sent" means the SMS has left your phone, "delivered" means it has actually reached the other phone).

Different mobile OSs have chosen very different UI solutions for received delivery reports: In Windows Phone it actually looks like a new SMS (like StefanG expected), in Symbian it's hidden in some 'delivery reports' folder, etc. Sailfish actually inherited its more subtle design from MeeGo.

There should be the report in small letters under the message, behind the time and date of the message. "sent" (for me in german: "versendet") appears if the message is delivered. with o2 it works well.

Thanks for your hint, that's correct. What I had expected was a text message sent to me when mine was delivered which would be of much more use.

in my opinion that would be much spam
