Enhancement: sliding/scrolling app launcher instead of flick/flip [duplicate]

Currently the application launcher/menu screen (south or down in the UI) flicks/flips between "pages". In other parts of the UI this makes sense. In the app launcher this has the effect of placing some of the icons at the top of the screen, perhaps even the icon of the app I want to launch, where it is uncomfortably far away or even out of reach from my current one-handed grip. My suggestion is that the app launcher pages slide/scroll just like a web page so that I can stop it at will in between and launch the app I want comfortably.
