Sorry if this is to plain: Is there any official channel for new SFOS releases? I aware of "[release notes]" here @together as community portal. I have a more "announcement" like place in mind, like a mailing list or similar. One place to look at and not like @together a couple of posts/questions. Maybe also something that can be reached with less human interaction (I'm aware of rss feeds here but the place changes every now and then).

You could try a tag filter on TJC. Bookmark

https://together.jolla.com/questions/scope:all/sort:age-desc/tags:official,update/page:1/

or subscribe to

To add to this, there's also the blog: https://blog.jolla.com/category/software-updates/

Pretty sure I've received emails telling me about the latest and greatest software updates since the very beginning on the email address linked to my Jolla account.

An email notification would be great but i do not see how to "activate" this feature. I crosschecked my account under account.jolla.com and didn't find any option for such notification. Any pointers?

I get the email about the new updates, but they always come after the actual release, so somewhat pointless ultimately, hardly what one would call "hot off the press!"

They appear to come from campaigns@jolla.com

This leads me to navigate to https://jolla.com/ and at the bottom there is a "NEWS ABOUT JOLLA" subscribe form ... I will see what reaches me through this.

@Leon: All communication from Jolla, no matter what, is classified as spam by my provider. News about OS updates reach me 2 months after the actual upgrade when I check my spam folder before deleting it. ;)

So it might be that in fact you receive all those mails but don't see them.

All announcements on Sailfish OS updates (and nothing else) have the tag "release-notes" here in t.j.c. Hence run a tag search. It will result in this URL: https://together.jolla.com/questions/scope:all/sort:activity-desc/tags:release-notes/page:1/ which prints out a nice listing of the recent updates.

The emails telling about SailfishOS updates are sent to the addresses in our customer register. This register consist of the addresses used for signing up to Jolla accounts.
