Hi! A few weeks my new Jolla C shows 50% charge regardless of the actual degree of charge. Plus often refuses to charge saying that the charger is incompatible. What the hell?

No need to engage hell. :) What charger do you connect? Does it supply enough current (>=1A)? Does charger + cable charge other devices properly?

I used original charger from Asus Padfone 2 (2A, 5V, 10W) and Belkin Micro-USB cable. Also tried charge from USB port on my laptop.

That should be sufficient, by all means. Have you tried other chargers? Laptop might not necessarily be enough.

I tried original Apple iPad charger, but problem is not resolved.

There is, of course, the possibility of a faulty battery or charging logic. Unfortunately I cannot tell you the best way how to test this.

Jolla C doesn't like chargers with output current less 1 A. Jolla C doesn't work properly with 750 mA chargers (like Sony). I use original charger Jolla 1 and Asus Fonepad 7HD (output current > 1A). All OK!

Может провод не айс? У нокии были хорошие шнурки, до сих пор пользуюсь и не нарадуюсь.

Может быть. Попробую еще провода. Но мне кажется это проблема с контроллером заряда.

Возможно. Возможно контакты в разъёме шнурка поистерлись. Так пара шнурков (от соньки кстати) отправились в утиль. Соньковская зарядка дает 750 мА (как уже писАл выше), асусовская - 1,35А при напряжении 5.2 В.

Попробую на лабораторном блоке питания посмотреть выходное напряжение. Проблема в том, что у меня почти всегда индикатор заряда 50% показывает независимо от уровня заряда. Вот и думаю, что это батарейка или контроллер заряда.
