"USB cable removed" alert covers battery level

When I unplug my phone from the charger, usually the first thing I check is the battery level to see how much it has charged.

However, the "USB cable removed" notification in the top row covers the battery level indicator. This is unfortunate, especially considering that there is a lot of unused space in the home screen.

This is just a very minor UI gripe, I realize, but I thought I'd report it nevertheless, since the rest of the UI is very well engineered.

I usually unplug the phone only after I've checked the battery level.

Aaand the point goooes to @ossi1967! :)

Apparently, there could be a better place for the notifications... somewhere.

Also, it could be more preferable (for me) if the top row had some background to it so that the Ambience picture won't affect its readability. But this is another story.

LVPVS out.

Seems inefficient. Why should I change my routine and spend extra time pressing the key and waiting for the display to power up, when I can do it while on the run after I have already grabbed my phone? I know, it's a 5-second optimization, but still... :)

If it's any consolation, with some precision you can tap the tiny notifications and they'll disappear immediately, so you don't have to wait until they time out.
