On the speaker or when connected to external bluetooth speakers my calendar alarms or events are accompanied by a very loud alarm tone set in the sound settings. Its too loud and sometimes shocks me, also it goes off at midnight or unopportune times when streaming or reading on the screen etc.

Same problem on my Jolla C (SFOS 2.0.5.6). No volume setting (ambience or sound setting) seem to apply to calendar alarm or clock alarm. The sound is very loud (max volume?).

This problem has been around for quite some time, since SFOS 2, I think.

There is a patch available to change volume of the alarm clock. maybe you can ask the developer to add also calendar volume? Here is the link: https://openrepos.net/content/slava/clock-settings

Thanks, but I think SFOS volume control should apply globally. Not only ring signal/audio volume.

@PatsJolla thanks i sent the developer a note to see if he could expand on the volume control functionality of his patch. Ultimately though its a SFOS lack of feature and should be addressed by Jolla, when they get around to it.

@DarkTuring I also think many functionalities are missing especially in settings area but I suggested already once the patches should be considered for upstream meaning good ideas should become SFOS standard.. If you check the patches available there are some incredible ideas and really many interesting solutions to make the system more useful. To tell the truth without patches I would not be satisfied using the system as it is delivered by jolla.
