Got fed up of having to use xdg-utils from command line?

Curious about mime handling?

Then this is for you : https://openrepos.net/content/giuliettasw/sailmimer

Basic version up right now, just lets you edit current (user-defined) handlers.

To remove associations, edit /home/nemo/.local/share/applications/mimeapps.list file

100% open source tho, so feel free to contrib (maybe with an icon? :) )

edit retag flag offensive close delete

Package naming conflicts with existing "harbour-mimer" app by llelectronics. Warehouse upgrade is getting confused.

I would've appreciated patches by you instead of a fork. Anyways you removed the copyright notice with GPLv3 hint. You need to readd it to not violate the GPL.

This app is now renamed into "harbour-sailmimer" in Openrepos.

Yeah the package conflict is an issue that's now resolved. As for the "fork", you are mislead. this is 100% new ware, and the reason I made it is I was not aware of mimer; otherwise i'd spared mysef the hassle :).

And no, theres not going to be GPL there.

PS : the fact that SailMimer actually works @ mime level (as the name states), meaning it gives the option to set the actual mime handler (and if necessary force it), alone diferentiates it from Mimer in functionality and usability.
