Hi, am new here. I've already posted a detailed list of feature request in the Jolla & Sailfish user forum (forum.jollausers.com) and I'll be posting it here soon with some changes.. I've used Intex Aqua Fish, my first Sailfish OS smartphone from August 2016 to October 2016. I've only one word for Sailfish OS, amazing. Unfortunately I had to sell it at the end of October because I couldn't use Jio 4G internet on it. At that time, it was running on Sailfish OS 2.0.2 Aurajoki version. So I miss using Sailfish OS and want to buy the Intex Aqua Fish again but I've some doubts regarding it which I'd like to be cleared. Please answer these questions point by point. Thank you. 1. Is Jio 4G Internet working on Intex Aqua Fish? 2. Since Sailfish OS doesn't support VoLTE yet, and Jio being a 4G only network, is it possible to make calls on the Aqua Fish using the Jio4GVoice app? 3. Is Airtel 4G working on Intex Aqua Fish? 4. What is the current and latest software version on the Intex Aqua Fish? 5. Has the battery backup improved in the latest software update?

  1. Is Jio 4G Internet working on Intex Aqua Fish? Yes, only data/internet works in Jio.
  2. Since Sailfish OS doesn't support VoLTE yet, and Jio being a 4G only network, is it possible to make calls on the Aqua Fish using the Jio4GVoice app? I think no as Aqua Fish doesn't provide sim access to android apps.
  3. Is Airtel 4G working on Intex Aqua Fish? Yes. I'm using RCom/Reliance 4G without any issues. Its 4g plans are almost similar to Jio plans.
  4. What is the current and latest software version on the Intex Aqua Fish? 2.0.4.14
  5. Has the battery backup improved in the latest software update? If you use only Sailfish apps, then battery backup is very good. If you use Jio, battery is worse as internet is always on. I use RCom sim in 4G mode and switch on internet only when required. Battery life is good. If I keep it in 2G only mode, battery consumption is more. I think this is because of the signal strength of the respective modes. Try and see.

I suggest you forget about going back to Sailfish, battery drain as at to-date on my intex Aqua Fish (2.0.4.14) still pathetic (even in flight mode).

Starting using Jio form a week or so on a SF2.0.5.6. Just using internet "4G" of JIO.
Do not know what should be expected but, there is drastic increase in Battery Consumption, compared to RELIANCE 4GLTE.

Edit 1

With Jio sim on 2.1.0.11(lijoki) with Jolla C on Intex AF, not working. 4G Internet only (in sim 2 slot)

Jio4Gvoice app works for calling with WiFi JioFi Device, for the app to get configured and get OTP to activate, it takes time, a while, may be one need to make call once to Jio customer care, sometimes in first attempt it may work.

App works, so does calling, but, without notification tones and alerts, in-app settings for notifications can be viewed as default and if, to set the notification, selection does not populate with ringtones and alert list.

Voice is with little disturbance.

Don't buy it. Some intex aqua fish don't support jio 4g and Reliance communications 4G my device is one of them. Submitted to Intex service center to fix data connection issue after 40day I got my device back still 4g not working. Even some times 3g also don't work.
