Wifi problem, but nothing to do with Eduroam or WPA2.

I have searched a lot for this problem, but all I find are the Eduroam issues and workarounds for that.

I just changed by router to the WRT 1900ACs, it's lovely. I set up 2.4 and 5Ghz networks with WPA2, and every device I have connected automatically (the 2.4 Ghz had the same password/SSID as before).

Except the Jolla phone (tablet works great). I guessed it was something to do with the security, so I tried a bunch of things, including just making the network open with no password. The Jolla only says 'Could not connect to network'. I tried b/g only as well instead of mixed B/G/N.

Everytime I changed anything I used the utilities to reset the network on the Jolla. I can never connect.

Is there anything to do about this?

(This is on the Intex phone btw).

just a guess, but: the new router decided to use a frequency not supported by the phone? (chan 13)

Good guess, but I have changed it now to Channel 1 and no change, half the time the network doesn't show up in the list of detected networks, when it does the correct password just gives a 'Could not connect to network' error, and if it does manage to get added to the list with a stored password, it just shows connection/disconnection errors constantly.

does it show up under the connected devices / dhcp clients list at the routers management page?

Nope, it doesn't show up there. I mean it doesn't even see the network 90% of the time.

I find it very weird, even with an open, unhidden network it can't see the network in the list of available networks.
