How do you import or export browser favorites in the native browser in case they get deleted accidentally, you accidentally clear favorites when clearing cache and cookies, you do a factory phone reset, or during upgrading.

Does the SFOS 2.0.1.0.9 capture favorites during backup and restore?

Add feature to the SFOS browser to save favorites say on external SD card, or allow export and import.

Bookmarks are in /home/nemo/.local/share/org.sailfishos/sailfish-browser/bookmarks.json so you could just copy that file.

Exporting: where to? You'd probably need a program to convert them (which would be easy to write). Firefox uses json for saving bookmarks but I doubt if the format is identical. Try it.

Importing: same applies. Until the Jolla browser has a folder structure any import would be very limited: see

Exporting/importing to/from an html webpage might be useful - similar to Firefox.

Long tap on favourite and select "Add to application grid" (paraphrased). Then your favourite is impervious to clearing and accessible from applications.

In addition to the above - phone backup includes backing up of your browser favorites as well. Thus you can factory reset and restore later (or transfer to another phone).

@alloj thats an excellent idea, it would be awesome if those app/links could be simple dropped on the Browser App Icon and that would re-create the favorite in the Browser.
