Hi. Apologies if there´s already got an answer to my question out there.- I tried to find a solution on my own, considering previous comments, but unfortunately I wasn´t successful.

My issue is as follows... I´ve just received a Pebble 2 HR and would like to set it up, using my Jolla (SF 2.0.5.6). This might even work using RockPool - if I could establish a bluetooth connection between Pebble and Jolla. - But when I search for Bluetooth Devices from my Jolla, Pebble isn´t found.

Anybody any idea... - How I could make my Jolla see my Pebble bluetooth-wise, respectively how to pair the two? - Is anybody maybe using his Pebble with the latest Sailfish OS and can advise what needs to be considered?

Many thanks in Advance. - MaTi

What you need to do is create an adaptation bridge, basically just a small server that connects to bluez-libs and provides a socket or whatever on the other side for the application.

I did a proof-of-concept on that with node.js and noble; to connect a BTLE-only Magellan HRM-belt to my Jolla.

No Bluetooth LE support on Jolla 1 or Jolla C(yet). Jolla C has the hardware but the bluetooth stack needs to be updated - promised to happen over the next few updates. -Coley.

Ohh. Thx, Coley. So this means... My Jolla 1 will never work with my Pebble (?) ... Thought usage of LE in context with the Pebble was optional...?

Jolla sbj-1 ia also BTLE-capable, non need to upgrade to Jolla model-C.

You just need to write an adaptation layer yourself, it is actually not that difficult.

Thx. juiceme. - Unfortunately I´m far away from being a programmer. - But at least I´ve got some hope now that there might be a programmer with LE-need for Jolla 1 and therefore might write an adaption layer eventually. - Thx for the info.

https://together.jolla.com/question/8589/proper-bluetooth-le-support/?answer=140791#post-id-140791 Was "promised" in 2.5 or 2.6, and since 2.5 is already released, we can hope that it really appears in 2.6.
