If I understand correctly, Android emulation is not developed natively by Jolla but by a third party (Myriad).

So, this suggests the question: are new features still being added to aliendalvik, like they are in the rest of the OS? Or is it presently in maintenance mode and there is no chance to ever see added the things that are still missing (for instance: write access to the contacts, several Bluetooth profiles)?

I have checked the last few changelogs, but there is very little regarding aliendalvik.

I'm actually too lazy to search for the logs now, but I believe that in one of the last community meetings on IRC somebody said an improvement in Android compatibility was something they worked on simply because their commercial partners/investors want it that way.

There's a job ad for an Android Runtime Technical Lead https://jolla.com/jobs/#Android which seems relevant?
