[Feature request] Auto completion does not always remove spaces before punctuation [duplicate]
The Sailfish OS auto completion always puts a space after every word, and does not remove it when a punctuation mark is inserted. This makes typing very cumbersome, forcing manual removal of said spaces. The auto completer should detect when a punctuation mark is inserted and remove the space if it has been inserted by himself. EDIT: After suggestions from members, I noticed that it works correctly in some apps (e. g. Notes, Mail) and not others (Browser). Anyway, many punctuation marks (colons, semicolons) are never recognised.
Which punctuation exactly? Because it works correctly for me (and for others, too). The issue you describe is not in Sailfish OS but in the Android environment, for which a bug request is already opened: https://together.jolla.com/question/73669/bug-remove-space-before-punctuation-in-android-application/
Sthocs ( 2017-01-02 16:41:25 +0200 )editIt does not work for me, neither in English nor in Italian. In which language did you test it?

lakutalo ( 2017-01-02 17:18:08 +0200 )editGerman is my default language, but I also use English and Turkish. I didn't test all languages and all punctuation marks now, but at least ".", ",", "!" and "?" work here. (Space removed after typing punctuation mark.) ":" and ";" don't. (Space remains)
ossi1967 ( 2017-01-02 17:19:22 +0200 )editEnglish for the OS, with French or English keyboard. So it doesn't work in any application for you? Have you tried in the Notes app?
