Hello another year, another FOSDEM!

The Free and Open Source Developers' European Meeting 3-5th February in Brussels gives great chance to get together F2F IRL, have a good ole chinwag, project our next goals and collab.

Every year we've had Sailfish OS community meetup and dinner during FOSDEM's Saturday evening, let's do this again!

Please upvote if you will attend at each respective event below, and I sure hope to see you there :)

I am new to the Jolla/SFOS community. I use a Moto G with Sailfish OS for quite some time now and I will be visiting FOSDEM. Do you mind if I join you?

Community round-table

(Upvote if you'll be coming)

Let's hold one Sailfish OS collaboration meeting live from FOSDEM on Saturday 4th February! We'll aim to have video streaming, failing that we'll resort to IRC-only relay chat [sic].

BoF room H.3228 booked from 15:00, webinar will start from 15:30 if install-party succeeds ;)

Please comment with a topic proposal. Ways of intensifying community collaboration and involvement, as well as any other brainstorm-friendly topics are welcome!

@sledges Is Sat Feb 4th 15/16 UTC pretty much the target for BoF? I have booth duty and would like to plan around it :) Thanks!

@cybette, BoF rooms are being booked on Saturday morning, and we will be aiming to start between 15 and 16 depending on their availability, allowing for the meeting to last 1.5-2hours

Note that this BoF room confusingly bears a large(r) sign H.3224!!

Last year we even got a boat-shaped tablein this marine-themed http://www.restaurantvincent.com and a great time! You'll be looking to spend around €50 for the feast, please bring cold hard cash :))

Hi @sledges, I'm also from the UK. I'm interested to know how you will be getting to FOSDEM and the rough cost of doing so....care to clue me in? :)

Greetings @fmotl! We're taking Eurostar, return ticket is around £200, but that includes (and turns out to be cheaper) national rail and London underground tickets. Feel free to tag along!

Since I wanted to listen to the discussion during commuting to work, I converted the audio of the Youtube to MP3 while tidying up the sound a bit. Maybe it's useful to others too, so go download it here: http://www.semmel.ch/SFOSDEM2017.mp3

Will it happen again this year ?

@anidel - hope you don't mind, I took the liberty to correct your spelling of netvandal, (was 'netsvandal'). If the username does not highlight in grey with the @ symbol, then the spelling is likely not right.
