When system/application/package updates become available and a notification arrives it would be useful to see the version number to which each app/package is to be updated. Now only the name is shown.

The version number should be available in Event feed notifications and in Store app in each application listed under 'Updates available' section (in Store there also is only the icon and app name shown).

It would be even better if the version number of the currently installed package was also shown to make it possible to see whether the update is an upgrade or a downgrade. If the release date was also available the info would much more useful than now.

Searched all questions with tags 'updates' and 'notifications' and AFAiK this enhancement was not explicitly mentioned.

Do you want to see the version number(s) and/date of the new (and installed) app before doing the update.

I agree, new version and previous version is very interesting to see! As well as a changelog, it's always exciting to see what has been updated in a new version!
