Hi,

if I copy a image with the browser to sfos gallery it doen't appear in sailorgram as picture. I believe this happens, because sailorgram just looks for files with .jpg ending as pictures and the browser don't do this. In SFOS gallery I can view the image but sailorgram thinks it is a 'plain' file.

Any ideas how I can do a workaround for this? Didn't found settings for browser which let me set relevant preferences.

Thank you!

The browser just downloads the image exactly as it's displayed: if it ends in .png, it downloads a .png, if it ends in .jpg it downloads a .jpg and if it has no ending it downloads the image with no ending. It displays in the Gallery because that uses the database of a piece of software called tracker, which as the name implies keeps track of all sorts of files on your system. I assume Sailorgram doesn't make use of tracker, but instead uses a dumber way to find files by only looking at their endings. The solution is either to ask the developer of Sailorgram to have it use tracker (it's an essential part of Sailfish OS already), or to open a file manager (you can find one built in in the Settings application) and rename the downloaded picture so it ends in .jpg.

The workaround with filebrowser is a good one :-) Thank you for your detailed answer!
