Has anyone attempted to hack more bands onto the Jolla C or Aqua Fish? [answered]

my understanding is that qualcomm-based phones can be modified to support a wider range of cellular fequencies in some cases. On Android this process is well documented. I was wondering if anyone has attempted this on a Sailfish device, and if so what were the results, and how hard was the process?

In short: Jolla C and Aqua Fish have different modems hardware, different frequencies, different antennas. You can't modify Aqua Fish.

My question wasn't whether the modems were different, only if either had had their baseband stuff unlocked to more frequencies. The thread you linked indicates that this may indeed be the case even with the Aqua Fish. However, the linked sources people in the thread are citing are all in cyrillic, hence my asking here.
