Phonebook and history do not work anymore, both for Jolla1 and JollaC upgrading to SFOS 2.1.0 (2.1.0.11 and 2.1.0.9).

EDIT (@sailor): Hi everybody, since I upgraded my JollaC to v2.1.0.9 the phonebook sync does not work anymore. I didn't upgrade to BlueZ5.

EDIT (@palikao): I connnected my Jolla 1, updated to v2.1.0.11, to my car (Peugeot 208) via bluetooth. In the past I could see my recent call history inside car system, but.. Now, all histories are empty.. Even if I call starting from J1, car's call history stays empty. If I call composing number on my car system, then history starts recording numbers..

EDIT2: Tested also with Toyota Yaris 2015, Phonebook is ok but History is shown only for 10 seconds then the message "There is no history to be shown"

Can you elaborate that more? Are new/edited/deleted contacts not modified, or are they all lost? On my Jolla1 everything seems to work fine, I even did successfull inital pairing/sync some days ago.
btw. mention your manufacturer/car-model ;)

The phonebook is completely gone. And incoming calls just show up as "unknown caller".

Hyundai/i40 and I am not alone with this issue it seems. Many people report it here. https://together.jolla.com/question/156949/bug-bluez5-cant-connect-to-audio-profile-jolla-c-v2109/

Ford C max 2014 and Jolla 1. Syncing works fine. No problems at all.

My thought is that there are multiple standards for this, and at least one has broken in 2.1

@pigg Seconded: something changed here between 2.0 and 2.1 and this change made some car kits lose some functionality (usually: phonebook) along a broad range of manufacturers (of cars/car kits, like my presumably Korean device in my Moroccan car).

Mini/BMW -> I can see the contact list but no history even if I started a call from the car-system.

I used the last version of Sailfish OS (2.1.0.11) on Jolla1. Older version(s) of SFOS works fine.

EDIT: After disconnect the phone from car (delete the connection) and reconnect it again the phonebook was synced almost fine, but now I cannot see the name on an incoming call (only phone number), the contact-picture and also the call history.

Please check if some of your contacts has the same phone number duplicated. If you can find one, please remove the duplication. Try the phone in your car now. Thanks.

Release 3.0.2.8 resolved phone book access for me. Response for Call history is also vastly better than before when it did sort of work.

For me it was fixed from 3.0.3.10 on XA2

Opel Corsa E - > 2014 I can see the history, but not contact list. The history used obviously numbers and not names.

I used the last version of Sailfish OS on Jolla C, Bluez 5 not enabled.

EDIT:

The issue vanished, without explanations (I restarted the phone before without success, and I didn't receive update for car or phone).

Hello together!!!

May be it helps! The version 2.1.3.7 is installed. Yesterday I got the following effect:

  • phone connects automatic per bluetooth to my car (Nissan)
  • incidentally im settings->bluetooth I touched the "my car" device, it was disconnected
  • to connect it again I touched "my car" device once again
  • AND... (!!!) whole history was downloaded Everything was ok!
  • Now to get this working I do the same procedure every time I drive my car... :(

I thought about to write some script to fix it (to disconnect - reconnect the bluetooth), but mostly I cann't do it due to no time. Also I have to grab some knowledges. Sorry!
