Procedure:

  1. Edit a text (e.g. question, comment).
  2. Click [Save edit].
  3. Find some more things you would like to change, so click [edit] again.

==> the original text as it was before your last edit reappears.

If the last edit was a larger one, you spot this quickly and may hopefully find your last text in the browser history. If it was a minor one, you may not even recognize that you just back-converted your last edit.

Request: Make sure, that the text appearing in the edit field is the very last one saved -- always, not only if the last edit was some time ago.

(The reason actually seems to be, that the browser does not refetch the whole page: So make sure, that [edit] forces a complete download and does not rely on browser cache.)

I've noticed the same. If not fixed, reloading the page should do the trick.

This might be a backend cache problem, we are looking into it.

16 April 2014: Reopening this question: Problem reappeared repeatedly.

I'm not able to reproduce this and can't see any reason why it would load the old revision when editing again. Only thing I see is possible is that someone else was editing the post at the same time and overwrote your changes. Although, in that case reloading wouldn't help like simo suggested... So could you point out some post where this has happened so I can check the history?
