Support for colored glyphs?

The emoji package renders all the characters in black and white. When is Sailfish going to get OS-wide support for colored glyphs?

Still waiting on this one. Get.emojis from iPhones etc that show up as boxes or uncolored.

Extremely disappointed that what should be considered baseline functionality (being able to read SMS messages properly) is still not present 3 years later. This will be a problem once I get my Xperia 10 Plus.

You should be able to get coloured emoji by installing this package: https://openrepos.net/content/nokius/emojione-color-font

this is possible only under sailfish web browser and new sailfish webengine based on gecko, not in os itself, because colored fonts support in Qt under Linux is not possible

@coderus I searched a little and it was mentioned here that Qt 5.7 does support colored emoji's under Linux http://lists.qt-project.org/pipermail/development/2016-May/025878.html So Sailfish OS will get proper emoji support as soon as it gets Qt 5.7?
