Please refer closing as "crashing". Breaking mostly means it stops working altogether.

Can confirm this for some other payed apps, too.

I can confirm this too. None of the paid apps install. Its a real downer if you thought you can hack Jolla to run your paid Google Play apps.

As of 1.0.8.19 all apps purchased from Play Store either crash or don't even install.

That's what he said in the question.

And that happens to be the official answer. You may not like the answer, but we as Jolla company cannot currently give you support on that. Voting negative on the answers that you dont like doesn't make it less true.

Jolla employees should have a badge/icon or something alike saying that they are. Thought you just repeated what the question said, which isn't helpful at all.

Good point, I'll ask internally if we can improve askbot a bit in the future for somehow indicate of answer is "Jolla answer" or not.

I understand you cannot give support on the play store, nevertheless is the store able to kill alien dalvik. This should not happen. If the installation fails, maybe the store itself should crash, but the dalvik app with all the apps inside it sould not die.

You can download the APKs directly with this chrome extension: https://lekensteyn.nl/apk-downloader/

The APKs work without problem, as the bug seems to be in the installation phase of the Play Store.

E: You need the extension to download paid apps. Website can only download free apps, as it works without login. E2: First link was sketchy, changed to the clean one.

This link can't download payed apps (it says so). The installation of other apps do work.

The website cannot, but the chrome extension can, as it logs in as your google play account. I've done this with a couple of paid apps myself.

DO NOT USE THEIR APK DL CHROME EXTENSION! It contains spyware (you could've guessed it by the looks of their page, right?). Use the original one here: https://lekensteyn.nl/apk-downloader/
