I've recently bought a new phone and would like to port SFOS to it. However, it's not possible yet due to having a 64-bit CPU and running Android 6. I have read about a new HADK being in the works that'd allow hardware adaptations for newer devices; is there an ETA for this or can someone chime in and provide some info on that?

Newer HADK will have many bugs fixed, but Android 6 64-bit support is already within HW adaptation repos that are being used, and at #sailfishos-porters on IRC (together with our FAQ etherpad) one can be guided through

Developer preview version (which will ease transition to the upcoming HADK v2) that uses SFOS Platform SDK instead of Mer SDK can be found here: https://sailfishos.org/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/SailfishOS-HardwareAdaptationDevelopmentKit-1.9.9.pdf

Just a heads up for those not active on IRC but still interested in porting to AArch64 devices - HADK 2.0 has been recently released.

Yes, but still references older hybris version and CM. Most if not all recent (2016 >) devices require at least CM14 or LOS 14.1, I still have a Leeco Le Pro3 and a Le Max 2 and still cannot get even compile start.
