Sailfish Browser doesn't dither correctly [answered]

Jolla's SailfishOS browser does seem to render in 16bits but doesn't dither graphics, which leads to banding in gradients.

See the same website shown in SailfishOS browser and in Webcat browser which dithers correctly:
