I am new to the smartphone world, how do I set up the email to a Microsoft email account?

Looks to me that you are reffering to an Outlook account, not an MS Exchange one? If that's the case, just go to Settings - Accounts - Add account with Pulley menu, choose Email and fill the data.

Download MS Exchange from Jolla store, then create your Exchange account filling the data needed(e.g. server, user, password etc.)

No need to insert server or ports, just email, username and password in the first screen, the rest is retrieved automatically.

Doesn't work for me! With Outlook I just have the email address and the password. I do not have a user name.

@VDVsx There are cases when there is no Autodiscover configured, so it is no possible to retrieve the policy. So user have to provide all settings data manually.

@zlatko - Ok, thought it works for all hotmail/outlook/live.com free accounts, have couple of them, old/new and all of them support autodiscovery fine.

@VDVsx - may be I misunderstood the OP: I thought he is asking for Exchange(as in business company mail server), naming it Outlook(as per the MS mail client). But might be that you are right and he is only having in mind Hotmail service :)
